This earthquake has hit the region Leh in Jammu & Kashmir, India on Friday evening local time. Residents of Leh and surrounding villages rushed out of their houses in panic when the quake hit. Cracks formed in several houses in nearby villages, according to preliminary reports from local sources. No detailed damage assessment is available yet.
